Deputy Managing Director – Jersey

About the role

The Deputy Managing Director will partner with the Managing Director and the local board to drive performance, governance and growth of Opera’s Jersey business across private wealth and institutional services.

Key responsibilities

• Support the MD in setting and executing the jurisdictional strategy, translating it into clear priorities and plans.
• Partner with the MD to achieve revenue, profitability and fee‑income targets while maintaining high‑quality client service.
• Oversee operational delivery, drive process improvement and ensure regulatory compliance across all business lines.
• Lead and develop teams, manage resources and champion a high‑performance culture aligned with Group values.

Required profile

• Qualified professional – Accountant, Lawyer or Trust Practitioner (STEP or ICSA) with at least 10 years post‑qualifying experience, including 5 years at Board level.
• Deep understanding of fiduciary and fund services businesses and the relevant regulatory framework.
• Proven leadership ability, strong judgment and a “get things done” mentality.
