Domestic Cleaner – Residential Nursing Home

About the role

Cheval Roc Nursing & Residential Home is seeking a Domestic to join the team and provide high‑quality hygiene and cleanliness for residents. The role involves routine cleaning, waste management, and laundry duties within a residential care setting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing floors.
• Empty and clean waste bins, dispose of rubbish, and disinfect rooms as required.
• Collect, wash, and store dishes and kitchen utensils after each resident meal.
• Maintain bedroom and bathroom cleanliness while respecting residents with courtesy.
• Clean common sitting areas, corridors, window blinds, curtains, rugs, and upholstery using specified equipment.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned after use and uphold food‑hygiene standards.
• Follow COSHH regulations, infection‑control policies, and fire‑procedure guidelines.
• Manage laundry operations: keep the laundry area tidy, operate washing machines at correct settings, perform thermal disinfection, iron and label linen, and report any equipment issues.
