Complex Needs Support Worker – Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Support Worker to join our night‑shift team in Jersey. The role involves delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care to service users with complex needs, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and independence throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support in line with each service user’s Care Plan, including assistance with mobility, nutrition and medication administration where authorised.
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and infection‑prevention standards while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Support service users to develop life‑skills such as budgeting, shopping, using public transport and managing daily activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies and health‑care professionals to review progress and adjust care plans.
• Document observations, report any deterioration in physical or mental health, and participate in audits and training sessions.

Required profile

• No formal qualification required, though RQF Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to obtain it is desirable; Care Certificate required for those without.
• Level 3 RQF Medication Unit required for medication‑related tasks.
• Strong literacy, numeracy, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Passionate, caring, patient, flexible and reliable, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
