Private Bank and Wealth Management Summer Analyst Internship 2027

About the role

Barclays is offering a 10-week Summer Analyst Internship in its Private Bank and Wealth Management division in Jersey, open to students in their penultimate year of university. The intern takes part in the day-to-day work of the division, working with experienced Private Bankers to understand client needs and help them reach their goals. The programme runs during the summer of the penultimate year of study.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out small research projects and research that supports strategic decisions, and prepare presentations and reports
• Work with high-net-worth clients and their advisors, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on business initiatives
• Take part in training and development programmes
• Help identify opportunities, develop business cases and support the launch of new products and services
• Manage client relationships and provide customer service support, answering questions about products and services and processing transactions
• Develop and implement financial models and strategies used in decision making
• Train and mentor junior colleagues
• Perform financial analysis of potential clients, prepare presentations and memoranda, support credit and onboarding due diligence, and attend client meetings with experienced bankers

Required profile

• Student in the penultimate year of a degree in any discipline
• Interest in business and finance and a curiosity to learn
• Resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit, shown for example through extracurricular activities
• Candidates requiring immigration sponsorship may be supported with a work permit and immigration application, subject to eligibility; those not eligible must have their own right to work in Jersey from June to August 2027
