Graduate, Tax (Associate) - Jersey

About the role

PwC Channel Islands is recruiting a graduate tax associate (grade Associate) based in Jersey, working 37.5 hours per week. The tax line of service advises clients on tax planning, compliance and strategy, and tax compliance specialists validate clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations. The role sits within a three-year graduate programme.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse financial data and prepare and file tax returns
• Help businesses meet their tax obligations while minimising the risk of non-compliance
• Expand local tax knowledge while learning from the global PwC tax network
• Work with other lines of service, reviewing tax aspects for assurance purposes and giving tax input to regulatory reviews, liquidations or data systems
• Study for a relevant qualification such as a Chartered Accounting Qualification or Chartered Tax exams, with support from a team, career coach, buddy and learning and development representatives
• Work in the offices and attend client meetings, including off-island ones, and take part in industry events and possibly global tax academy travel

Required profile

• A 2.1 degree from any university, in any subject, or on course to achieve it
• No work permit required; candidates needing a work permit cannot be considered due to immigration restrictions in Jersey and Guernsey
