Home & Appliance Installer

About the role

Jersey Electricity is looking for a Home & Appliance Installer to deliver and install Powerhouse products safely and professionally in customers' homes. The role covers appliances, IT and other products, with basic setup and customer mentorship, combining technical work with customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and set up appliances, IT products and other Powerhouse products according to company guidelines
• Ensure safe, compliant installations, including plumbing and electrical connections where required, and install electrical cookers securely and in line with current regulations
• Configure basic settings such as Wi-Fi, AV systems and appliance programmes
• Demonstrate product features, answer questions and give advice on products and services
• Follow health and safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines, complete installation checklists and report issues promptly
• Work with the Service and Admin teams on scheduling and documentation, and escalate technical issues to the Service Technician team

Required profile

• Previous experience in appliance or similar installations (essential)
• Full UK/Jersey driving licence (essential)
• Medium Goods Vehicle Licence (essential)
• Electrical safety certification or relevant qualification for cooker installation (essential)
• Manual handling training (essential)
• First Aid at Work certification (desirable)

Required skills

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Confident IT skills and organisation and time management
• Beneficial: setting up washing machines, ovens, refrigerators and dishwashers, plumbing connections, basic Wi-Fi networking and knowledge of manufacturer guidelines
