Heating Engineer - Domestic Heat Pumps

About the role

Jersey Electricity Building Services (JEBS) is looking to strengthen its team with a Heating Engineer based in Jersey. The post holder will uphold regulatory compliance and high safety standards while supporting the company's purpose and values. The role suits someone with a good understanding of heating systems, able to replace oil and gas boilers with electric boilers, replace and install pressurised cylinders, and willing to train to install air source heat pumps.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission domestic heat pumps and heating systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Carry out routine maintenance and servicing to ensure long-term efficiency and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair faults in heating systems and heat pumps.
• Advise and support customers on energy-efficient heating solutions.
• Stay up to date with developments in heating technology and sustainability.

Required profile

• Proven experience installing, servicing and maintaining heating systems.
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working independently and as part of a team.
• Genuine interest in renewable energy and sustainability.
