Manager, Financial Control

About the role

PWC Channel Islands is seeking a Manager, Financial Control to join its Financial Performance & Control team. Based in Jersey, you will ensure accurate, timely and well‑controlled financial information supports statutory reporting, management reporting and business decision‑making across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, guaranteeing accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial outputs.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and related disclosures.
• Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for external audit, coordinating requests and delivering audit materials on schedule.
• Maintain ownership of balance‑sheet governance, ensuring reconciliations are completed, reviewed and properly documented.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, firm policies and technical accounting requirements.
• Support regulatory reporting obligations through accurate and timely submissions.
• Uphold a strong financial control framework with appropriate governance, documentation and evidence of controls.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant experience in financial control, month‑end close and statutory reporting.
• Proven track record of managing external audit relationships.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail.
