Director - Private Wealth

About the role

Ocorian is looking for a Director - Private Wealth in Jersey. The role provides strategic leadership and governance oversight across a portfolio of private client and fiduciary structures, acting as a Director on client entities and, where required, on Ocorian regulated businesses. It combines board-level responsibility, client relationship leadership and risk oversight, working closely with clients, regulators and senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Director on client entities, corporate director companies, corporate trustees and, where appropriate, Ocorian regulated entities, fulfilling fiduciary, governance and regulatory responsibilities.
• Provide strategic oversight of client structures, ensuring robust governance, effective risk management and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a trusted adviser to clients, supporting complex decisions and safeguarding their long-term interests.
• Contribute to senior leadership forums such as commercial, risk and governance committees.
• Strengthen controls and improve processes to deliver services efficiently and in line with client expectations.
• Lead, mentor and develop high-performing teams.
• Sponsor and support strategic projects, transformation initiatives and business change.
• Maintain strong relationships with regulators, professional advisers and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• 15+ years' experience in trust, company administration, fiduciary services or a related professional services environment, with significant leadership and board-level exposure.
• Demonstrated experience acting as a Director, Trustee or senior fiduciary professional.
• Experience overseeing regulated businesses, complex client structures and transformational initiatives.

Required skills

• Professional qualification such as STEP, CGI/ICSA or equivalent, with strong technical knowledge of trust administration, company law, fiduciary duties and the tax implications of complex structures.
• Strong commercial, risk management and strategic leadership capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong financial, taxation and wealth structuring knowledge.
