Senior Health Care Assistant

About the role

CI Homecare is seeking a Senior Health Care Assistant to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to service users in Jersey. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring care plans are followed and regulatory standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality personal care and support to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Monitor and report changes in physical or mental health, and review care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with safe mobilisation, dietary intake, and medication administration where authorised.
• Uphold infection prevention and control standards and respect the dignity and privacy of service users.
• Liaise with external agencies, participate in audits, and attend supervision meetings.
• Oversee and support junior Health Care Assistants, addressing performance issues with senior nursing staff.

Required profile

• RQF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• RQF Level 3 Medication Unit for medication administration tasks.
• Caring, kind, friendly attitude with a willingness to perform personal care tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions, work both independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate flexibility and reliability.
