Registered Nurse – Residential Care

About the role

Silver Springs Nursing & Residential Home is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality care to service users in a residential setting. Reporting to the Deputy/Registered Manager, you will lead the nursing team, oversee Health Care Assistants and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Be accountable for the care delivered to service users, including assessment, planning and evaluation of care needs.
• Oversee and support Health Care Assistants on shift, ensuring high‑quality care and adherence to policies.
• Administer medication within your training and competency, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Participate in supervisions, audits and implement recommendations to meet care standards.
• Maintain confidentiality, respond to emergencies and liaise with external agencies as required.

Required profile

• Current RN/RMN/RGN registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and local care standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, empathy and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience desirable.
• Commitment to continuing professional development and meeting revalidation requirements.
