Health Care Assistant

About the role

Le Petit Bosquet Nursing & Residential Care Home is seeking a Health Care Assistant to deliver high‑quality care to service users in accordance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of a care team to promote and safeguard the welfare of service users.
• Provide personal care and support independence according to each care plan.
• Monitor and report any changes in physical or mental health.
• Follow infection prevention and control policies.
• Measure care plan effectiveness with the interdisciplinary team and suggest improvements.
• Respect dignity, privacy and individual choices at all times.
• Liaise with external agencies and participate in audits.
• Assist with safe mobilisation, nutrition, and medication administration where authorised.
• Undertake domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Required profile

• No formal qualification required; RQF Level 2 in Health & Social Care is desirable or willingness to obtain it.
• Care Certificate required for those without RQF Level 2.
• Level 3 RQF medication unit required for medication‑related duties.
• Good literacy, numeracy and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Organisational, observational and ability to follow instructions.
• Team‑oriented, initiative‑taking, caring, flexible and reliable.
