Distinguished AI Tech Lead – Frontier Applications

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a visionary AI Tech Lead to drive frontier AI applications across its industrial software portfolio. This high‑visibility position will shape technical direction, model choices, and implementation strategy for AI capabilities that serve global industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evangelise the technical truth for AI solutions from concept through launch, aligning with business goals and market trends.
• Identify emerging AI technologies (world models, foundation models, multi‑modal language models, agent‑based systems, etc.) and translate them into industrial use cases.
• Develop technical AI requirement documents, road‑maps, and prioritise features, data constraints, and model performance.
• Proactively manage technical risks, ensuring safety, security, governance and regulatory compliance.
• Define, monitor and report on AI capability metrics and data‑driven insights.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering innovation.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven track record delivering both green‑field (0‑to‑1) and mature AI products.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and data‑driven decision‑making abilities.
