About the role
BBC Radio Jersey is seeking a versatile audio specialist to read news bulletins and produce programmes for the island audience. You will work across weekday and weekend schedules, delivering community‑focused stories and contributing to multi‑platform content.
Key responsibilities
- Research guests and topics, pitch original story ideas and contribute to programme planning.
- Read news bulletins on‑air and produce/edit multi‑track audio for broadcast and BBC Sounds.
- Operate studio and field broadcast equipment, including production desks and broadcast vehicles.
Required profile
- Demonstrable experience in radio, audio or multimedia content production.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to read news clearly and work collaboratively in a small team.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings and weekends.
Required skills
- Audio recording and editing.
- Operation of broadcast equipment and studio technology.
- Understanding of digital and broadcast production workflows.
What we offer
- Salary range £28,000 – £35,000 plus Channel Island Weighting.
