Adjunct Faculty – Athletic Training

About the role

The Saint Louis University seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach and support the Athletic Training program on its North Campus. This part‑time position involves delivering coursework, supervising student clinical experiences, and contributing to the department’s research and service missions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, labs, and seminars in athletic training and related subjects.
• Provide hands‑on supervision and mentorship to students during clinical rotations and practical sessions.
• Assess student performance, grade assignments, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and accreditation activities.
• Engage in research projects or community service initiatives as appropriate.

Required profile

• Graduate degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a closely related field.
• Current certification as an Athletic Trainer (e.g., ATC) and eligibility to practice in the United States.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level or equivalent.
• Strong commitment to student learning, diversity, and the mission of a Catholic university.

Required skills

• Ability to design and deliver effective instructional content.
• Proficiency in clinical assessment and rehabilitation techniques for athletes.
• Experience with academic assessment tools and grading systems.
